Description
This formula changes the base item type from exceptional to elite version.
Key details
- For instance, Ghost Armor is upgraded to a Dusk Shroud.
- This does NOT convert the item to the Elite Unique version of the Unique item.
- So you cannot, for instance, use this formula to transform The Spirit Shroud into Ormus' Robes.
- Unique item bonuses remain the same; only the item it's based on is upgraded.
- This also works to upgrade Ethereal items.
- Socketed items will remain socketed after upgrading.
- Armor refers to any sort of armor, including helms, boots, belts, gloves and shields.
D2Emu Tips
- Upgrading to an Elite base adds 7 levels to the highest requirement imposed by the current item, its base, its affixes, or anything socketed in it.
- Check the Elite base's Strength and Dexterity requirements before upgrading so the character or mercenary can still equip it.
