Description
Recipe: Exceptional Version of Set Armor upgrades the base item of a Normal quality set armor item to the Exceptional version of the base item.
Key details
- For instance, Sigon's Shelter would have its base item Gothic Plate (Normal) upgraded to Embossed Plate (Exceptional).
- Note that its level requirement would become the requirement of the upgraded item's exceptional quality +5 (ie.
- Embossed Plate Sigon's Shelter = 25+5), or in case the normal item already has a higher level req. than the exceptional base, the new level req. is the previous level +5 (ie.

- Useful for upgrading the 8- and 12-slot belts of low-level sets you plan to continue to use through Nightmare.
- Upgrading to an Exceptional base adds 5 levels to the highest requirement imposed by the current item, its base, its affixes, or anything socketed in it.
