Arctic Gear is a fantastic low level set for ranged characters, especially Amazons.
Key details
- While the individual pieces are solid, the set bonuses add a large amount of cold damage, life, and even the desirable Cannot Be Frozen mod, which makes it more than worth the gear slots to complete the set.
D2Emu Tips
- Despite the gear having a required level of 2, the required attributes for strength and dex mean you likely aren't going to get it all equiped until later.
- Because 2.4 changed the full set bonus of 6-14 Cold Damage to +2 Maximum Cold Damage per Level, this set's expected damage output was actually lowered for clvls 2-9.
- Arctic Gear is primarily geared toward low-level bow Amazons, but Werewolf and Werebear Druids can also make good use of this set's robust mix of Cold Damage, Cannot be Frozen, Life, and Attack Rating.
- For characters interested in equipping this set ASAP, the most efficient +X Dexterity charms at clvl 2 are Large Charms, which can sport +3 to Dexterity with a required clvl of 2.
