Rixot's Keen is an effective early game item that falls off quickly.

Key details

  • Because of the rarity of unique and champion monsters in Normal, the item is normally found too late to be of much use.
  • Even with this, its Crushing Blow and reasonable damage can make it an choice for helping take down especially tough bosses in Normal.
  • It can be a good idea to upgrade Rixot's Keen to a Gladius to increase its validity into the later game, but its level requirement will increase to 30.

D2Emu Tips

  • Very useful for melee builds in normal difficulty for taking down act bosses & super uniques, especially given the nonexistent level requirement vs Goblin Toe or Strength runeword.
  • This sword in particular has the lowest level requirement of any unique item in the game, making it perfect for any character just starting out in Blood Moor.
  • Just had this drop level 5 hardcore ladder with a Paladin.
  • Paladin holding Rixot's Keen on char selection.
