- It has strong resistances and drops no items, so avoiding it may be more efficient than destroying it.
- Lightning Spires do not regenerate, and life or mana leech cannot be used against them.
- Lightning Spires grant roughly ten times the experience of Spectres in Nightmare and Hell, making them worthwhile while leveling.
- Lightning Spires are Poison immune on every difficulty.
