Uber Mephisto is one of the three bosses in Uber Tristram. His level-20 Conviction aura sharply lowers nearby resistances while he uses lightning, poison, cold, and melee attacks, so isolate him from the other bosses and defeat him first.

- On Hell difficulty, Uber Mephisto is immune to lightning and poison damage. Bring another damage type or a way to break those immunities.
- On Hell difficulty, Uber Mephisto can use Blizzard. Plan positioning and defenses around those skills.
- To remain at 75% resistance through Hell's −100% penalty and Uber Mephisto's level-20 Conviction, stack 300% total resistance before any +Maximum Resistance bonuses.
- Dual Dream and Double Dragon paladins are uniquely prepared to take Uber Mephisto head on in melee due to their strong Conviction auras overriding and negating his own.
- In Uber Tristram, lure Uber Mephisto away and kill him first so his Conviction aura does not amplify the other two bosses.
