Description
Aldur's Watchtower is a moderately good set in theory, but the high level requirement of 76 on the body armor prevents this set from being of much use.
Key details
- The damage on Aldur's Rhythm is moderately good for its level (42), but it's inadequate at best once you can wear the body armor.
- The 350% Enhanced Damage is on the complete set, not on the weapon.
- Enhanced Damage from non-weapon equipment works like Enhanced Damage from skills and the strength bonus, which is different from how Enhanced Damage on the weapon works.
- Essentially, the 350% ED will add 350% of your weapon damage to your total.
- With a 60-93 damage weapon, that means the 350% Enhanced Damage will add 210-325 total damage.
- This is really not very significant, but it's not a bug, just a balance issue.
D2Emu Tips
- Physical dmg of aldur weapon is small, but it can be shaeled for up to 90% ias, which means Aldur-usin druid relies on Fire Claws or/and Rabies for dealin significant damage - not Fury: Skill/ Feral Rage/ Maul: Skill.
- Another interesting use, I once made an effective PvP/PvM Aldurs Hurricane/Shock-Bear hybrid with 7 cold facets for +/- 35% cold damage, you hit around 3200 Hurricane damage and with 9 elemental/frw GCs you can really scoot I have some old vids back in the days on it on YT.
- Recently made this set as a Fury Wolf/Summoning Druid and it got me through Nightmare, but it is quite unusable in Hell (unless you are ready to waste lots of time on most monsters) and once I switched to Jalal's Mane and an Axe that does circa 500 damage, I saw an immediate increase in quality of life, with a Druid dealing…
