Bone Spear – Diablo 2: Reign of the Warlock

Description

Bone Spear fires a projectile that deals magic damage and can pass through any number of targets.

It does less damage to each target than Bone Spirit (until very high levels), but can hit multiple enemies and is very effective against large mobs or in narrow hallways, including inside the Maggot Lair Level 1.

If you are playing in Resurrected mode, this ability's projectiles provide a small radius of light, illuminating the dark slightly.
Probably the best skill to have when clearing that pesky maggot lair xD.
The 2.4 changes to this skill's synergies increased the overall damage output of a fully synergized Bone Spear by about 12%.
New items added with Reign of the Warlock, such as Sling Ring, have either -magic resistance to enemies or bonuses to magic skill damage, which makes building a Bone Spear-focused Necromancer a bit more promising.
