Frozen Orb – Diablo 2: Reign of the Warlock

Description

Creates a magical globe that sprays a torrent of ice bolts to lay waste to your enemies.

Casting Delay: 1 second
Frozen Orb calls for some skill to use, since the damage is highest right where the orb is targeted, and especially at the point it expires with one final swirl of ice.
Enemies must as a result be within effective range, and not blocked by walls or other obstacles.
The orb applies no cold damage or cold length of its own.
Rather, the orb fires one damaging bolt in each frame of its 30 frame existence until either the duration expires or the orb it hits an obstacle.
Each bolt can hit only one target.
Upon expiring or hitting an obstacle, a nova of 16 damaging bolts is released.
If this occurs when the orb is travelling through a target, that target can be hit by multiple bolts.These bolts are also destroyed on collision, and all 16 can hit a single size 3 target.
As with all casting delay Sorceress skills, Frozen Orb can and should be paired with another spell that can be cast during the delay.

Patch 2.4: Frozen Orb Casting Delay will no longer share its cooldown with other skills that have Casting Delays Tooltip updated to now display Casting Delay.
If you are playing in Resurrected mode, this ability's projectiles provide a small radius of light, illuminating the dark slightly.
