The Ward is a solid defensive improvement over Ancient's Pledge, available only a few levels later.

Key details

Though Rhyme has the desirable Cannot be Frozen modifier and Moser's Blessed Circle (with two Perfect Diamond) can grant comparable Resist All with superior blocking, this shield is a fine choice until mid-game shields including Herald Of Zakarum, Homunculus, and Spirit become available.
