Description

With its remarkable +60% increased attack speed, Windhammer is a sound choice for shapeshifter Druids, especially given their forgiving IAS breakpoints with mauls, staves, and polearms.

Key details

  • The synergy to the stun duration of Twister offered by Arctic Blast can turn this weapon's on-striking procs into an effective, if unconventional, survival tool in the hands of a Fury: Skill Druid.

D2Emu Tips

  • This could be a fun weapon to use on an Elemental + Shape Shifting hybrid Druid ever since patch 2.4 made Hurricane usable in form: the damage-granting synergies for Twister happen to be Tornado (also one of Hurricane's synergies) and Hurricane itself.
  • The Barbarian holding a Windhammer.
  • Paladin holding that heavy blue hammer on char selection.
  • Funnily enough, in French, this item is named "Mjolnir", i.e. the hammer of the Nordic god Thor.
