Description

Sigon's Guard is probably the most favored shield for early game.

Key details

  • The +1 to all Skills mod is effective on all characters and the Sigon's Complete Steel set grants pretty good stats overall for the normal difficulty.
  • High strength requirement is a significant limitation, though.
  • This shield is also often chosen as a really cheap alternative for the +1 to all Skills on switch for casting Battle Orders with Call To Arms on switch until you get a Lidless Wall, Splendor or ultimately Spirit shield.

D2Emu Tips

  • Great shield ( even better when socketed with all res Diamond or jewel ) for casting or summoning characters before you can get hands on Lidless Wall or Spirit Monarch xD.
  • Before the Lord of Destruction expansion introduced runewords and exceptional/elite unique items, Wall of the Eyeless and Sigon's Guard were the best offhand items for casters.
  • Fun fact: This is an actual 15th Century Hussites' Pavise, and the picture on it shows the gate of Prague.
