- The enormous 253 strength requirement, measly 10% Faster Cast Rate and being two-handed means it gets outclassed by the likes of Spirit and Heart of the Oak for elemental Druids even with the +7 to Elemental Skills.
- Earth Shifter could be an choice for a Fire Claws Elemental Shapeshifter Druid build.

- To put this maul to its fullest use, socket it with Shael (not ed%/ias jewel), max out your Fury and Armageddon, and raise your Werewolf skill to effective level 15 with items, giving you 7 fpa.
- A skill level 14 Fissure deals 129-139 Fire Damage.
- The odds of a unique Thunder Maul being Earth Shifter: Qlvl 1-84: Cannot Drop Qlvl 85+: 1/2.
- As you do rapid attacks with Fury, the %25 Fissure on weapon procs lvl14 Fissure, which does a good amount of damage since it is synergied with its passives.
- Since Elemental spells will get significant buff in 2.4, this might be a very good option for a caster Druid.
