A late game staff that is largely invalidated by more potent items, specifically Heart of the Oak and Spirit runewords.

  • Ethereal Version in Dark Wood.
  • The combination of -X% Enemy Fire Resistances and +5 to All Skills makes this a decent choice for a Fire Druid, which cannot obtain a higher bonus to all skills with any combination of weapon and shield.
  • The difference between self wield Infinity and this regarding - enemy lightning resistance is compensated by +5 to all skills (mercenary wielding Infinity if wanted), and it actually offers flexibility with its 30 Faster Cast Rate and low requirements.
  • It used to be terrible bc of mana burn ES concerns but after 2.4 patch this item might finally shine as staff Energy Shield sorceress is finally fixed in PvM.
  • Unfortunally any staff that has level required higher than 54, at Level 54 a sorceress can use Monarch shield, is useless.
  • The second is that the -X% to Enemy Fire Resistance found on this weapon, when combined with the aforementioned +5 to all skills and respectable 30% Faster Cast Rate, makes it an appealing choice for general use by a Fire-specced Chaos Warlock.
