Like Azurewrath, Lawbringer grants the Sanctuary Aura, which lets its user to completely bypass the physical resistances of nearby undead foes.

Key details

  • Additionally, it has a chance to cast Decrepify, somewhat compensating for its lack of added physical damage.
  • Both of these features make this weapon better suited as a swap item for situations that call for it, or typically equipped on Barbarian hirelings for combat support.
  • This is one of only 3 items that grant the 'Slain Monsters Rest in Peace' mod — the others are Nature's Peace and Tyrael's Might.

  • Sanctuary Aura makes you ignore physical res of undead monsters, which they all have 50% (somebody check me on this, it might be 25%) physical resistance.
  • The proliferation of undead means the huge boost to damage from Sanctuary (~1000%) largely mitigates the lack of enhanced damage, and Decrepify triggers fairly frequently.
  • A skill level 15 Decrepify has the following effects: Targets' Speed, Damage and Physical Resistance -50% Radius (yards): 4 Duration (seconds): 12.4 A skill level 16 Sanctuary Aura has the following effects: Pulse Radius (yards): 13.3 Magic Damage Min: 68 Magic Damage Max: 168 +600% Damage to Undead (Caster only) A skill…
  • Useful with an A5 mercenary on a Windy Druid, as Decrepify will lower enemies Physical Resistances, allowing your Tornado to deal more damage.
  • In a Phase Blade base it is particularly good for a Kicksin or maybe even a pure Martial Arts Assassin.
  • Possibly the best solution for the Blade Fury Assassin, Bone Break + Decrepify will allow you to destroy any enemies.
  • The 'Slain Monsters Rest in Peace' mod is particularly useful against monsters that rely on corpses.
