Chain Lightning – Diablo 2: Reign of the Warlock

Description

Creates a bolt of lightning that arcs through several targets.

Chain Lightning jumps from one target to the next and can be quite impressive when cast on a cluster of enemies.
It is much less effective against single targets, still, and is slower to hit enemies than Lightning, which passes straight through as quickly as the Sorceress casts it.
Chain Lightning is subject to a 4 frame Next Hit Delay.
This can cause the lightning arc to "fizzle out" if it tries to bounce back and forth between targets that are too close together.

If you are playing in Resurrected mode, this ability's projectiles provide a small radius of light, illuminating the dark slightly.
Oddly, Chain Lightning uses a slightly slower cast animation than the Sorceress's other skills.
