Description

Creates an expanding ring of lightning to shock nearby enemies.

Nova Sorcs call for very fast casting speed, many mana, and the nerve to stand very close to monsters all around them.
Nova is not a very good boss killer, since the damage per cast isn't that high; its strength comes when used against numerous monsters at once.
Nova works very well when paired with potent, casting delay skills like Meteor and Hydra.

Patch 2.4: Nova Static Field synergy added: +5% Lightning Damage per level Nova mana cost reduced.
If you are playing in Resurrected mode, this ability's arc provides a decent radius of light, illuminating the dark as it expands outward.
Because Nova requires relatively few skill points (60) to reach its maximum potential, it is often paired with Energy Shield/ Telekinesis to facilitate the close-quarters engagements required to make Nova effective.
