Thunder Storm

Description

Summons a deadly thunderstorm that strikes your enemies with bolts of lightning.

Thunder Storm automatically hits monsters so there's no need to aim.
Once you've spent the mana to cast it, it will stay active on your character for the duration of the spell which will depend on how many skill points you have in Thunder Storm.
Simply recast it when it wears off.
With more points, and paired with Lightning Mastery and +Skills Items, Thunder Storm can do significant damage, often killing monsters in one hit.
Both damage and strike rate increases with skill level.
Common synergies make Thunder Storm a suitable addition to a Nova sorc build.
You can even use Thunder Storm in combination with the Cold Armor series of spells (like Frozen Armor), Energy Shield and Enchant.

Patch 2.4: Thunder Storm Static Field synergy added: +7% Lightning Damage per level Duration baseline increased from 32 seconds to 144 seconds Duration bonus per level increased from 8 seconds to 24 seconds Tooltip updated to now display Radius.
If you are playing in Resurrected mode, this ability's projectiles provide a small radius of light, illuminating the dark slightly where enemies are struck.
Back in LoD 1.09, Thunder Storm was commonly paired with Frozen Orb in PvP.
